The Middle-Ranked UC Schools...?

Alright well I'm really interested in attending a top notch school in California but I live in reality and I know that there is a shot that for one reason or another that it might not happen. So I was wondering for those of you who know about the middle cl UC schools such as Irvine, Santa Cruz, San Diego, etc. in what order would you rank them? Since all of them cant be on the same level as a UCLA or Berkley. I'm interested in Irvine but how does that sound if your at a job interview and say you graduated from UC Irvine? Also I heard that Santa Cruz is a good school but is full of stoner's and dumb blonde's. Any truth to this?
