Saab 9-3 2005 AC relay doesnt turn on (works when the relay is manually turned on)?

when i make the relay work with a screwdriver , the ac works fine , but the problem i have is that the relay doesnt turn on automatically when i press the ac on. I checked the fuses, their fine, im only missing accessories fuse which i think is nothing to do with ac. i called saab the only tip they gave me is that its probably not the fuses fault, but for further info they tell me to bring the car and pay 60� for a check up and hell knows how much for the works and maybe parts.
